There are a lot of very good sources for
information on stamp carving.

Three large resources can be
found on
AtlasQuest.com, Letterboxing.org
and
Letterboxing with Mark and Sue.
Other good resources are any of the
various
letterboxing Yahoo groups.

Stamp carving, in my opinion, is a wonderful
extension to letterboxing. There's nothing wrong
with using store-bought stamps, but it's a truly
wonderful feeling you get the first time you stamp
one that you just carved and it looks great!

I started out with a store-bought one. It was ok . . . a nice
ladybug picture. But it was so great to use one that you
carved yourself and to know that it's the only one like it.
